RMU Women Announce 2010 Schedule

The Robert Morris University Colonials, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Katy Phillips, announced its schedule for the 2010 season. After recording their best finish since the program's start with a 9-8 overall record and a 5-3 league mark, the Colonials will look for their first-ever NEC Championship.

"Although we are small in numbers, we have a lot of talent on the squad this year and are looking to make a push for the NEC Conference Championship," said Phillips. "We have scheduled tough out of conference games that will prepare us to be as successful as possible when we begin to face league opponents."

The Colonials open up their season in Annapolis, Md. when they take on Navy on Friday, February 19, 2010. The following week, Robert Morris returns to Moon Township to face Bucknell in its home opener on Sunday, February 28 at Joe Walton Stadium.

RMU opens up the month of March with two games in New York. The squad takes on Canisius in Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturday, March 6 and faces the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Friday, March 12.

On Sunday, March 14, Robert Morris hosts Manhattan, which starts a three-game road stand. The next week, on Friday, March 19 the Colonials take on Long Island for their first Northeast contest of the season and on Sunday, March 21 RMU welcomes league foe Wagner.

Robert Morris wraps up the month of March with games against Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J. on March 26 and Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, Md. on March 28.

On April 1, the Colonials return to Joe Walton Stadium to take on the Saint Francis (Pa.) Red Flash and then head to Pittsburgh to take on cross-town rival Duquesne on April 3.

RMU returns back to Moon Township for two league contests the following week. They take on Quinnipiac on Friday, April 9 and face defending NEC Champion Sacred Heart on Sunday, April 11. The Colonials close out the regular-season with two NEC road games against Bryant on Friday, April 16 and Central Conn. State on Sunday, April 18.

Robert Morris returns 15 players to the roster this year, including the Colonials' second leading scorer from 2009, Courtney Sicinski, who recorded 27 goals and 21 assists for 48 points. RMU also adds six newcomers to the 2010 roster.
